Stopped by the frequent flyer lounge while connecting through Amsterdam. Used to be these lounges were pretty exclusive. Seems like these days any clown can get in.

Amsterdam is one of my favorite airports. This is a very popular waiting area. Nice relax factor the visual effect of being on board a cruise ship.You could also call it a practice area for those about to board their 22-hour flight.

Since this tub has been cordoned off, it's obviously some highly sensitive area. I observed it for a bit. People actually came up to it to have a look inside. It reassured them to discover it's actual purpose - to catch the rain leaking through the million dollar roof.

No, these are not stranded passengers gone into shock after being informed that their airline will not compensate them after their flight was cancelled. They're tiny plastic figures belonging to table soccer game. Keeps the cab drivers busy in the early morning until the first flights arrive.

This is the view from the Sushi Bar located between gates C-14 and C-15. Talk about a huge aquarium they've got. Only thing is there's an Airbus A320 in it instead of the usual koi.

We have these young ladies to thank for lifeguarding the arrivals area. Up until now it's always been low tide down there. I go past them in the morning on my way to the elevator. Sort of feel like I'm cutting through an outtake of a Baywatch episode.

At the time, it was early morning. Later on it will fill up. Somehow when I look in here, I imagine hearing the voice of Tom Jones singing "It's Not Unusual" being piped through tiny speakers mounted on the ceiling. Maybe it's those groovy table lamps that give it that 60's lounge room feel.

Sixt car rentals does kind of stand out when it comes to airport advertising. I walk by (not under) this Audi almost daily and watch people stop and look up at it. I keep asking myself if the car is hollow. Guess I'll never really know.
